"It's never too late" - This is the lesson that I learnt from India's victory in Cricket World Cup 2011. To be honest, I enjoyed Sachin's joyful tears more than our victory. After all - It was something that had kept him chasing all way long. If I have any share in that much awaited, coveted trophy, I dedicate it selflessly to that 5'4" Giant. If to support India, we bleed blue, I barf blue in praising my idol.
Right from the very beginning, I have maintained that it's not only cricketing skills but gestures also that make me crazy about the Master. Throughout the tournament, he was awesome on field. Walking-out after a snick which was denied by umpire, consulting batsman on other end before taking review, being always upfront about India's win were some of the traits that I revered a lot. And what a masterstroke at the end of the tournament when he called Gautam (Do you remember 'the' ardent fan with conch shell in one hand and swinging Tiranga in the other one), hugged him tightly, requested photographers for photo-op and at last, handed trophy over to him to celebrate. When 'Team India' was above moon, scrupulous Sachin was finding ways for 'Nation India' to cheer. This quality makes him unique. Others create 'fan' but Tendulkar creates 'follower'. I know the followers-list is countless, but this is the crowd, I love to be a part of.
